Author Al Mennie Visits St Joseph's
Today Mrs Sheppard’s Primary 3 class and Mrs Loughran Primary 4 classes had a visit from the author Al Mennie.
Al who is best known as a big wave surfer all over the world lives in Portrush. In March he published his latest book called ‘Confident Kris’ aimed at children dealing with anxiety. Both Mrs Sheppard and Mrs Loughran’s class have been carrying out a series of activities related to the book and the character Kris. They have been discussing anxiety as an emotion and situations that the children may find difficult in everyday life. Today the children were able to show case their work and engage in a question and answer session with the author.
