Fairtrade Workshop
Our Year 6 children took part in a variety of Fairtrade workshops this week. Year 6 children explored the difference between a 'need' and a 'want' and worked in pairs to discuss these ideas. Classes also had the opportunity to learn more about what Fairtrade means and how Fairtrade works in developing countries. Children worked in groups to complete an important budgeting activity involving the cost of a jar of coffee! A big thank-you to David from Christan Aid who made the whole experience fun and enjoyable for our children.
