Miss McAuley ... A teacher of Distinction
Thursday 24th September 2009
Being nominated for a Teaching Award was wonderful. The whole school felt valued and so proud; pupils, teachers, parents and governors. We all felt that someone had made an effort to turn around and say “Well done” – what a fantastic feeling!
This award means so much to me because it reminds me of all the children I have taught in my teaching career including many parents of our children! Nothing we do for our children is ever wasted. They are after all a joy and a privilege to teach.
I am deeply grateful to all those who made this special day happen, to my colleagues, board of governor, parents and the children.
