Rights Defender Badges
Our Pupil Council have been presented with their 'Rights Defender' badges. Each month the Pupil Council promote the Rights Respecting School Charter alongside our Character Trait for the month. During the month of October they promoted the character trait of 'Respect' and each class worked so well to collect pebble points as part of our whole school reward system.
During the month of November our character trait is 'Responsibility'.
In our lives we need to show responsibility for and with others. This may be at home, school, the community, work place and indeed our church. We all have the capacity to be responsible, and we often look to the example of others who have shown responsibility.
During the month of November we will discuss the following issues or points with the children:
- Looking after those who are responsible for us
- Why do we need to show responsibility in school or at home?
- What values constitute a responsible person?
- Discuss practical ways of being responsible every day and becoming more responsible in school.
