Today our Pupil Council launched our 2026 Safeguarding Week in school. They delivered our Vision and Values posters to be displayed in every classroom. They will meet later this week to begin the process of giving our new sensory room a name.
What’s happening during our Safeguarding Week 2026:
- There will be a Year Group focus on an aspect of Road Safety.
- All parents/guardians will receive a copy of our Summary of Safeguarding & Child Protection leaflet.
- Any remaining staff (teaching and non-teaching) will receive their updated Safeguarding & Child Protection / Medical training and update(s) – dates and times to be confirmed with relevant staff.
- Our termly Fire Drill will be carried out.
- Our child-friendly Vision and Values statements, designed by the children themselves, will be distributed by the Pupil Council for display in every classroom
- Our Mission, Vision and Values display, based on our school mascot Stella the Star's classroom visits, will be created in the school foyer.
- Pupil Council will meet with Mr. Traynor to begin work on our pupil friendly School Development Plan for 2026/27.
We look forward to a valuable and informative week.
