Shared Education

Today we had a workshop with Lauren from Conradh na Gaeilge  where we learnt about the history of Irish place names and how they have been modified over time. We found out that English had a great influence upon Irish place names being changed to the names we know today. We worked in teams with our new friends from Gaelscoil Ghleann Darach, Crumlin Integrated College and Crumlin Integrated PS to try to recognise some of the original Irish names using our knowledge of landscape and history of our local area.
