St Joseph's Chess Tournament 2025
From 42 competitors across Key Stage 2 we are down to the final 4 of the St. Joseph's Chess Tournament 2025. During the first week of Term 3 our final four will battle it out to decided 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in this year's tournament.
Congratulations to:
Ryan: Favourite Chess Piece - The Rook because you can 'castle' and you can use the 'ladder mate' move.
Oisin: Favourite Chess Piece - The Pawn because you have eight of them and you can promote them to another piece when moved to the end of the board.
Emily: Favourite Chess Piece - The Pawn because you can promote it and it is very good for defence.
Noah: Favourite Chess Piece - The Knight because I can 'fork' with it.
