As we prepare to celebrate Maths Week Ireland 2026 from 10th-18th October some of our Year 6 pupils visited classes throughout the school to deliver a presentation, encouraging everyone to get involved in the fun and wonder of mathematics.
To kick off the celebrations, we will be holding a 'Dress Up for Digits!' non-uniform day on Monday. Pupils are invited to come to school wearing a number, shape, mathematical symbol, or any maths-themed outfit, in return for a £1 donation towards new maths resources.
A range of exciting activities has been planned across the school, including a Maths Trail for Year 1, Bee-Bot number challenges in Year 2, code-breaking problem solving in Year 3, teamwork challenges for Year 4, an outdoor Maths Hunt for Year 5, Izak9 investigations for Year 6, and mathematician research projects in Year 7.
We look forward to a fantastic week of fun, challenge and discovery as we celebrate and promote a love of mathematics across our school community! 📐➕🔢✨
