On Tuesday 14th June, Mrs Downey’s P5 class had the opportunity to visit the Our Place in Space interactive trail on Divis Mountain. We were brought around the beginning of the interactive trail, learning about the sun and moon, as well as the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. It was a fantastic morning and we learnt so much information about our ‘Goldilocks’ planet and its small place in the massive amount of space that makes up our solar system!
Our school orchestra had a great time watching the 2022 Ulster Orchestra Online Primary Schools Concert. There were even a couple of surprise apperances from a few of our own pupils who entered the photo competition. The performance can now be viewed online at the following link: https://youtu.be/VclwOYqJEX4

Congratulations to our Eco Team who travelled to Mossley Mill for the annual Eco Schools Award Ceremony. We were delighted to be presented with our 6th Green Flag and equally delighted to announce that Mrs Downey was presented with the Eco Teacher of the Year Award at the same ceremony. A great achievement by all concerned and testimony to our commitment to the development of eco issues in school.
Well done to all the competitors at our Year 1-4 and Year 5-7 Fun Sports Days. Great team work and skill displayed. Great to see family and friends back in school supporting the children and cheering them on. Well done everyone!
