Many congratulations to all our Year 7 pupils who created art relating to their Confirmation names and uploaded it on to Seesaw so we could create videos for each of the classes. (The videos can be seen in the Parent section under Online Learning)
The children have been preparing for their Confirmation Day through online lessons and on Thursday sang songs, said a prayer and participated in a class blog to mark what should have been the day of this special sacrament.
Father Colm said a special private mass for the children and our wider school community joined in prayer for our boys and girls.
During May we remember Mary in a special way. In school we make a May Altar in the foyer of our school with pictures of Mary, a candle and beautiful Spring flowers. We would add some Rosary Beads and we would say the Hail Mary or a Decade of the Rosary - 1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary and 1 Glory be to the Father.
You are invited to create your own May Altar at home and to pray together for any special intentions. Also please pray for all those currently affected at this difficult time, for all those working so hard to protect us all and for the love and care of our families and friends.
Please email a picture of your May Altar to: info@stjosephs.crumlin.ni.sch.uk
We will share these on our school website.
God Bless.
