Fane Valley, one of Northern Ireland’s leading agricultural companies gave our Year 6 children the opportunity of working together to design some animal sculptures.
The creative educational project is in association with Arts & Business NI and is in conjunction with Arts Care. As part of their new strategic ‘Reach Out’ project to engage with local schools, the farming cooperative secured the services of some Arts Care artists. Clare and Beth carried out an ‘Animal Sculpture Workshop’ with Mrs Wray’s class. The children designed, created and painted farm animals. Children used this opportunity to think about their mental health and well-being.
By engaging in art activities, children were able to relax, talk and be creative in a colourful, fun way.
