Thanks to Mr O'Brien and all the Youth Zone leaders for the great Halloween capers. The children had a wonderful time and looked brilliant in all the great costumes!
What a beautiful assembly from Mrs Casement's Year 2 class on caring. The children sang so well and recited a lovely poem as well as telling the audience about how the people they love care for them. Congratulations on the great assembly!
Many thanks to Mr O'Brien who organised Maths Week and the great W5 show for our boys and girls. Thank you to the two facilitators from W5 who were brilliant and entertained our children as well as reinforcing the mathematical concepts explored.
Thank you to Mr O'Brien's Year 6 class who led us in a fantastic assembly about Maths Week. Music, singing acting and great examples of how we need maths in our lives. Well done everyone!
We were delighted to receive our Road Safety Visual Teaching Aid Calendars for the school year 2018-19 which featured staff, pupils and parents from our school!
As part of Shared Education Week we were delighted to be asked to showcase our work with work with Crumlin Integrated Primary, Crumlin Integrated College and Gaelscoil Ghleann Darach at the Shared Education Showcase Conference in Cookstown. At this conference the Education Training Inspectorate (ETI) launched their Shared Education Signature Project Evaluation Report in which we were one of a few case studies highlighted as good practice. The full report can be accessed at www.etini.gov.uk and is well worth a read! Well done to all the staff and pupils involved with this very successful project!
We celebrated the National Day of Prayer today in school. Each class prayed a decade of the Rosary and children in Years 1-4 were given medals and rosary beads and children in Year 5-7 were presented with a pocket prayer booklet from St Patrick's Missionary Society, Wicklow.
