Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
An Olympic torch that helped bring the flame from Greece to Rio visited the school today. Many thanks to Deirdre McKenny who carried the torch in Brazil for coming in and sharing her fabulous experience with the children. Deirdre also presented medals to all our winners from the competitive sports days that took place in school over the past few weeks. Well done to everyone who won and everyone who took part in all the events.
Members of our Year 5 Pupil Council had the opportunity to visit Mossley Mill, Netwownabbey to participate in an interactive engagement event for primary school children across the Borough. Anna Bunting, Ryan McQuade and Callum Dugdale enjoyed a fun-packed day meeting lots of other school Councillors from neighbouring schools, at the 'Kidzconnect' event The children were involved in activities such as a walking debate, building their ideal town, designing their perfect play park and even questioning local Councillors! Our Pupil Council members also discussed their understanding of recycling and answered questions like ..'If I was Mayor for the day I would...'. Well done to our Pupil Council members who thoroughly enjoyed and engaged in the day and a big thank you to Antrim and Newtownabbey Council for inviting us all along!
