• Year 1, 2 and 3 Summer Scheme

  And so our Summer Scheme has come to a close and what an amazing 3 weeks it has been.  This week our Year 1, 2 and 3 pupils were treated to:

  • Monday -  Bouncy Castle and Inflatable Activities; GAA Coaching; ICT
  • Tuesday - Bouncy Castle and Inflatable Activities; GAA Coaching; Making Slime Workshop
  • Wednesday- Trip to Rosepark Farm
  • Thursday - Art and Story Workshop with Rachel; Drama Workshop with Joanne; Spartan’s Coaching
  • Friday - Art and Story Workshop with Rachel; Sentinus Flight Programme; Spartan’s Coaching; Friday ice-cream treat

   

  A big thank you to Miss Agnew (our Summer Scheme Co-Ordinator) and to all other staff who assisted as Summer School Leaders.  What an amazing job they have done!  Indeed without them this Summer Scheme would not have been possible.

  Well done to all the brilliant girls and boys who took part  - together we have learned and laughed a lot over the past few weeks.

  Enjoy the rest of your summer everyone - we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 31st August!

  Another very successful Summer Scheme week - Year 4 and 5 had a great time and the sun continued to shine!

   

  • Monday - Ulster GAA Hurling& Gaelic Coaching; Healthy Eating Workshop with Niamh; Dodgeball
  • Tuesday - Art landscape rock and postcard creations with Carolyn; Drama workshop with Joanne; Tennis
  • Wednesday - Trip to Stormont estate including Mo Mowlam adventure park; outdoor Drama games with Joanne
  • Thursday - Resilience workshop; IFA coaching; ICT; Spartan’s Coaching  
  • Friday - Sentinus Flight Programme; Spartan’s coaching; GAA Games; Friday ice-cream treat

   

  We look forward to welcoming Years 1, 2 and 3 to Week 3 of our Summer Scheme next week.

• Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Visits St Joseph's

  On Monday 28th June the mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey visited St Joseph's to present our Primary 6 pupil Beth with her prize.  Beth was the Overall Winner and awarded First Place in the recent Primary School Business Masterclass Competition.  Congratulation to Beth on such a wonderful achievement and thank you to the mayor for visiting our school and presenting Beth with her award.

  Congratulations to all of our boys and girls who graduated from Nursery on Friday 25th June.  They were amazing and are well ready to move on to Primary 1 in September!
