Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
St Joseph’s hosted the first workshop for our Crumlin Glen Engagement Project on Wednesday 1st May.
We were joined by a class from Gaelscoil Ghleann Darach and a class from Crumlin Integrated Primary School.
Over the next few weeks we are going to work together to design a natural play area for Crumlin Glen. We were working with an artist to look at designs from other parks before making our own designs. Next week we will visit the Glen and then we will get to make models of our designs.
After the workshops are completed our designs will be sent to the planners to be created and built up at the Glen.
Many thanks to Mrs Lawlor's Year 3 children who painted the beautiful pictures of Our Lady for our school May Altar in the foyer.
Many thanks to our Year 6 children on their Easter assembly. They presented 'The Stations of the Cross' to the children in Years 3-7 and to parents, family and friends. Thanks also to the Year 6 staff who guided the children in what was a very poignant and reflective ceremony for all who attended.
Such eggsitement in our Nursery Unit today with some 'cracking' Easter bonnets on parade. Congratulations to all who took part. The Easter Bunny entertained all the children – and the adults – and hid some very special treats along the way. However, all the boys and girls searched very hard and managed to find where he had hidden all those lovely chocolate eggs! Thank you so much to the parents who came along and took time to create the wonderful pieces of art the children wore.
Many thanks to all in Year 4 and 5 who came along to our Building Bonds Family evening of physical activities, games and fun. A great evening was had by all!
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored our children for the recent Friends' Fun Run. We had a beautiful day and all our boys and girls enjoyed the exercise as they lapped the playground.
The Waste Education Bus came to visit school today. Those children who attended were shown a presentation and engaged in a number of activities on the important waste topic of Reduce Reuse and Recycle.
Many congratulations to our Year 3 children on making their First Confession. The boys and girls were so reverent in the church, sang out and spoke so well. We are very proud of you all.
