  • Ceili for Our European Visitors

    An amazing experience for our last night with our visitors. Mrs Weldon made beautiful Irish Stew, hot dogs and apple tart all finished off with fantastic Ceili dancing led by Raymond Loney. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and to all our host families for their support with the project. It simply could not have happened without you.
  • 'Wear it Red' Day

    Many thanks to everyone who supported our 'Wear it Red' Day for Action Cancer and to facilitate defibrillator training for school staff. There was a sea of red across St. Joseph's. A great day had by all.

  • Digital Leaders iCode Night

    Many thanks to all the parents/guardians who came along for our Digital Leader iCode night. A wonderful chance to receive information on Online Safety and to explore what our children have been learning about coding. The parents were just brilliant and made our Sphero, Drone, Ollie and BB8 move with the use of coding apps. Our Digital Leaders led their sessions so well and the parents found out so much from them.

  • Valentine's Day Dinner

    Many thanks to our canteen staff for providing the children with a wonderful dinner to celebrate St Valentine's Day.  There certainly were lots of very satisfied boys and girls!
  • Digital Leaders Assembly on Safer Internet Day

    Congratulations to our Digital Leaders on their fabulous Online Safety Assembly. A great video presentation, drama and song were used to deliver the message of Safer Internet Day ‘Together for a Better Internet’.

  • Nerve Centre Green Screen Training

    Our Youth Zone children along with our Digital Leaders accessed funding from the EA Youth Service to provide green screen training. The children selected the topic of recycling plastic as their learning opportunity. They researched the issue, storyboarded and received training from Ruth from the Nerve Centre in how to use green screen.

    Our Year 7 pupils are perfecting their cheers in preparation for the big Cheerleading Competition at the Antrim Forum.
  • Camlin Credit Union Quiz Winners

    Congratulations is extended to our Credit Union Quiz Teams who participated so well in the recent Camlin Credit Union Quiz. 

     

    They were excellent representatives for our school. 

     

    Team members were:

    Year 6 Team A (Runners-Up) - Jodie Close, Cormac McAlister, Caitlin O’Neill and Matthew Kinnaird

    Year 6 Team B (Third) - Conn Gregory, Harry Kearney, Jamie Kearney and Aoibh O’Hare

    Year 7 Team A (Winners) - Ben Wright, Luke Jackson, Patrick Carl and Saoirse Crawford

    Year 7 Team B (Third) - Kevin- Barry McConvey, Jude Keenan and Mia McCartney

     

    A special congratulations to Ben Wright, Luke Jackson, Patrick Carl and Saoirse Crawford who were the overall Year 7 winning team and they took first place!  Well done boys and girls.

  • Friends of St Joseph's January 100 Club Draw

    100 Club Draw off to a Flying Start in 2020!

    We drew the winners of our January 100 Club Draw at our Year 1 Grandparent's Day. 

    Thanks to Mr Terry McNeill for drawing the winning tickets.

    Congratulations to the winners of our January Draw. 

    They were:

  • Year 1 Pupils Celebrate Grandparents' Day

    A big thank you to all our Year 1 Grandparents, extended family and friends who came into school on Friday 31st January to hear the beautiful singing, storytelling and poetry of our children.  Visitors were then invited to spend some time with the children in their classrooms.

    Thank you to Mrs Weldon and her team for the beautiful scones.

    Also, a big thank you to the Year 1 teachers and classroom assistants for the beautiful gift the children made for their Grandparents.
