The Pupil Council recently hosted their annual Fairtrade Tuckshop to celebrate ‘Fairtrade Fortnight.’ The council invited Years 4, 5, 6 and 7 classes to visit their tuckshop to buy a Fairtrade product. Children were very pleased to be able to purchase a small Fairtrade chocolate bar or banana to help support farmers in developing countries. All items were 20p and classes really enjoyed supporting and raising more awareness of the Fairtrade cause. It is important to remember that every time you purchase a product with the Fairtrade symbol you are directly helping farmers in other countries to have a better life! Well done everyone!
