  • Bedtime Book Read Year 3

    Thank you to all our Year 3 children who came to school for their special book read at bedtime. Mrs Mulholland, Mrs Cunningham and Mr Traynor read each of the classes a few bedtime stories as the children were all dressed in their pyjamas and hugging their favourite teddy. Thank you to all involved.
  • Year 2 St. Patrick's Concert

    What an amazing performance of song, dance, drama and prose from our superstars in Year 2. They were just fantastic. Many thanks also to the St. Joseph's Irish dancers who entertained us so well at the St. Patrick's Day concerts. Thank you to the year 2 team and Mr Cunningham and Mrs Campbell for all their hard work.

    Congratulations to our wonderful Year 3 children on making their First Confession. Many thanks for the beautiful singing and mime and to Fr Chris and Fr Colm for making the service so special.
  • Cash for Clobber!

    Many thanks to all our parents who brought in so many bags for our recent collection. Our Eco team helped to round up the swarm of black bags and ship them out of St. Joseph's to be recycled. You can still continue to drop black bags into the school office as we build up to our next collection.
  • Liz Weir Visits Our School!

    Our children had wonderful workshops with local author Liz Weir who visited each of our year groups and gave them some special tips on how to improve their literacy. The children listened so attentively and learned so much from this amazing visitor.

    Thank you to Mr Duffy's Year 5 class for their fantastic assembly on St. Patrick. We enjoyed the singing in Irish and hearing the story of our patron Saint.

  • Fairtrade Tuck Shop

    Fairtrade Fun!

    The Pupil Council hosted a ‘Fairtrade Tuckshop’ this week to celebrate ‘Fairtrade Fortnight’.  Year 4, 5, 6 and 7 children were able to buy Fairtrade bananas from Colombia and oranges from Brazil.  The Pupil Council set up their own tuckshop and were brilliant shopkeepers!  They chose the products, agreed on prices and offered colourful stickers to any buying customer.  Well done to our Pupil Council for celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight in such a fun way! We are well on our way to achieving our Fairachiever  award status.

  • Soccer Stars!

    Well done to the Soccer stars who took part in the Futsal IFA tournament in Lisburn. Mr O'Brien said the boys and girls were great ambassadors for St. Joseph's and sport.
