  • Pupil Council begin work on School Motto update!

    Our Pupil Council have been meeting this week to begin work on updating our School Motto.  As a school we have decided that our School Motto needs updating  and our Pupil Council have already explored some great ideas!  Our  Council began by talking about what a motto was and

    thinking of lots of words linked to our school and education. We hope to get everyone from teachers, parents and Governors involved in exploring a new School Motto for our school!

     

     

  • Year 7 Titanic Virtual Tour

    Many thanks to Mr Barrett, father of Ciaran and Sean who delivered a very informative virtual tour about Titanic to our year 7 children. The Memory Lane Tours Belfast experience was great and both children and teachers alike learned so much.
  • Trucks and Child Safety

    Many thanks to DHL who provided a wonderful set of sessions on safety surrounding trucks. The children learned so much about how to stay safe around parked trucks and if they were on their bike where the blind spots are.
  • Mrs Sincalir's Come Dine with Me!

    Mrs Sinclair's class and members of the children's families celebrated a lovely meal together. Many thanks to Mrs Weldon and her team for the beautiful food. A great time was had by all!
  • Salmon Growing in Year 7

    Mrs Campbell's Year 7 class have salmon growing in their classroom. The children had a taster session on Shared Education with children from Crumlin Integrated, Crumlin Integrated Primary and Gaelscoil Glenn Darrach. The children went to the hatchery to touch the fish and learn about the anatomy of a fish. The hatchery sent a fridge to the school with 30 alvins (baby salmon) and Mrs Campbell's children are ensuring the temperature stays below 7degrees. They do not have to feed the fish at the moment as they have a yolk sac. When the fish become salmon the children are going to go to Crumlin Glen and release them.
  • Year 3 & 4 Gaelic Football Coaching

    Many thanks to the coaches from St. James' Aldergrove who have commence a programme of Gaelic Football coaching with our Year 3 and 4 children.
  • Nursery Easter Bonnet Parade

    Many thanks to all the wonderful parents and children who made such fabulous Easter Bonnets for our Parade around the school. The Easter Bunny visited the Nursery whilst the children went on the parade and hid an Easter egg for every child in Nursery which they found on their return.  Many thanks to all for their kind sponsorship for a very worthy cause. 
  • Year 6 Trocaire Fun Day

    As part of fundraising efforts during Lent our Year 6 children held their annual fun day for Trocaire this afternoon. Many thanks to all the parents who helped the children with all their fantastic ideas.
  • Deaf Awareness Workshops

    Many thanks to Pricilla and Mary Clare who came in today to speak to everyone about Deaf Awareness. The children watched a Flintstones cartoon, played a game and were able to learn how to sign their names to their friends.
  • Crumlin Integrated Gaelic Football Celebration

    Many thanks to Crumlin Integrated College who organised a special celebration of Gaelic Football on the 3g pitch at Crumlin Leisure Centre. It was great to see 41 children playing together and having such fun.Thank you to Mr McCullagh and Mr McMullan for refereeing each of the games.  All who attended got lovely medals and a commemorative plaque was given to each school. A great afternoon of sport!
