It was wonderful to see all of the children back in school again for a new school year. Everyone looked so well in their school uniforms and were so well prepared for the year ahead. There were lots of smiles and fiendship rekindled. A special welcome to all our Primary 1 pupils and those who join year groups from new schools. We celebrated being together again by hosting our first assemblies of the school year where we were able to come together in our school hall. It was a very special occassion.
We wish all our pupils, staff and parents every blessing, good health and happiness for the year ahead!

Today we bid a sad farewell to our wonderful Year 7 pupils. The day began with our Leavers' Breakfast in the school canteen followed by our Annual Year 7 Prizegiving. Pupil were cheered and clapped out of the school grounds to their Leavers' Mass in Mater Dei Church which concluded with a Record of Achievement Presentation, after the final blessing. It was an emotional day for all involved but these girls and boys are all well ready for the next big adventure into second level education.
From all in St Joseph's we wish you every God's Blessing and good luck! And remember above all ..... BE HAPPY!

The children from our Nursery Unit paid a visit to Primary 1 today where they had an opportunity to see their classrooms for next year and meet their new teachers. They were excellent and settled so well - we look forward to welcoming them all to Primary 1 in September!
Great fun has was had by all during our recent End of Year Fun Days for Year 4-6. The weather was so kind to us and we look forward to our icecream treat on Friday to round off a great week!
Thank you to our Shared Education partner school, Crumlin Integrated College, for inviting us to attend a shared resources event on Tuesday 20th June. Our Primary 5 children participated in four activities - pizza making in Home Economics, Spanish in the languages department, a biodiversity 'bug' hunt in the science department and making wooden keyrings in technology. They all had a thoroughly enjoyable time!
