Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
It was wonderful to see all of the children back in school again for a new school year. Everyone looked so well in their school uniforms and were so well prepared for the year ahead. There were lots of smiles and fiendship rekindled. A special welcome to all our Primary 1 pupils and those who join year groups from new schools. We celebrated being together again by hosting our first assemblies of the school year where we were able to come together in our school hall for the first time in over 2 years. It was a very special occassion.
We wish all our pupils, staff and parents every blessing, good health and happiness for the year ahead!
Many congratulations to all within St Joseph's Nursery Unit. We are delighted to have been presented with the Autism NI Impact Award by Christine from the NI charity on Thursday 26th August. A wonderful achievement indeed for all involved!
Today we bid a sad farewell to our wonderful Year 7 pupils. The day began with our Leavers' Breakfast. This was followed by our Annual Year 7 Prizegiving and Leavers' Mass in Mater Dei. Pupils were also had a Record of Achievement Presentation, whereby they had an opportunity to walk the red carpet for the final time as they said their final goodbyes. It was an emotional time for all involved but they are all well ready for the next big adventure into second level education.
From all in St Joseph's we wish you every God's Blessing and good luck! And remember above all ..... BE HAPPY!

Today we celebrated with all those boys and girls who had become Accelerated Reading Word Millionaires - some double and indeed triple Word Millionaires - throughout the school year. Seated in their class bubbles pupils had an opportunity to enjoy a pizza party and some celebratory cake. Well done to these girls and boys on a fabulous achievement and to all those in Primary 5-7 who have made such an amazing effort engaging with the programme this year. Also thank you to Mrs. Matthews (Literacy Co-ordinator) for all her work in managing this very successful programme in our school. Remember to keep reading and keep smiling.

On Tuesday 14th June, Mrs Downey’s P5 class had the opportunity to visit the Our Place in Space interactive trail on Divis Mountain. We were brought around the beginning of the interactive trail, learning about the sun and moon, as well as the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. It was a fantastic morning and we learnt so much information about our ‘Goldilocks’ planet and its small place in the massive amount of space that makes up our solar system!
