Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our Year 6 pupils travelled to Mosley Mill on Wednesday to attend a Business Masterclass. They learnt about the supply chain for apple juice and the importance of branding and packaging. They also learnt that higher prices don't necessarily guarantee better taste! They are now in the process of designing their own juice cartons which they will be completed over the coming days and sent back for judging. Well done and good luck boys and girls!
Today we celebrated ‘Odd Socks Day’ as part of Anti-Bullying Week. Children and staff wore a variety of odd socks to school. The emphasis was all about fun, expressing ourselves, celebrating difference and diversity and showing respect!
Today our Pupil Council met with Mr. Traynor and Mrs. Wray to discuss the Take 5 initiative. As part of their election campaign this year the boys and girls from the pupil council promised to be wellbeing champions thus ensuring all children and staff are fully aware of the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing initiative.
Today the Pupil Council discussed the importance of these 5 steps: Connect; Be Active; Take Notice; Keep Learning and Give. We have planned another meeting for Tuesday 26th November in which we will design our Take 5 Pledge and discuss how we can best promote the Take 5 message to our entire school community.

Our Pupil Council have been presented with their 'Rights Defender' badges. Each month the Pupil Council promote the Rights Respecting School Charter alongside our Character Trait for the month. During the month of October they promoted the character trait of 'Respect' and each class worked so well to collect pebble points as part of our whole school reward system.
During the month of November our character trait is 'Responsibility'.
In our lives we need to show responsibility for and with others. This may be at home, school, the community, work place and indeed our church. We all have the capacity to be responsible, and we often look to the example of others who have shown responsibility.
During the month of November we will discuss the following issues or points with the children:
The boys in Years 6 and 7 were also in action after school this week, with great commitment and determination also shown here!
Today we had 37 girls from Year 6 and 7 who stayed after school to practice their Gaelic football skills - great commitment and dedication from this wonderful group of girls!
Huge well done to all the boys and girls in Year 4 who prepared a beautiful prayer service to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Souls in November.
Thank you to all of our Year 4 pupils who created a beautiful Holy Souls Prayer Service to celebrate the Feast Days of All Saints and All Souls. The Prayer Service has been recorded and watched virtually by all of our pupils. Well done girls and boys.
