  • Pebble Point Treat

    Congratulations to all our Year Groups on achieving the second Pebble Point Award. Mr Traynor booked popular children's entertainer Tom Sweeney to entertain the children. He sang wonderful songs and told great stories. The children had a fantastic time.

    As part of Science Week 2015 the Year 5, 6 and 7 children had the opportunity to explore Chemistry first hand with exciting Liquid Nitrogen experiments and extracting DNA from a strawberry. 
  • Knex Challenge

    Congratulations to Thomas, Eoin, Daniel and James who represented our school at the recent K'Nex Challenge held at Ballymena Acadamey.  The boys were tasked with designing two aliens and two pieces of alien equipment that they had brought with them from space.  They worked really hard on their designs and enjoyed the making and testing of these.  Well done boys! 

  • Centenary Big Breakfast

    Many thanks to all who came along on Sunday morning to join in with our big breakfast to mark another celebration for our 100th Anniversary. Mrs Weldon and her team of helpers from the staff of the school made a wonderful and very tasty cooked breakfast that all enjoyed, Empty plates all round, good craic and banter at the tables and a lovely community atmosphere.
  • Yr 4 Come Dine With Me!

    Mr McKenna's Year 4 children were the first class to invite their families to come dine with them in our school canteen. The children were really excited about sharing a meal together in preparation for their First Communion Day.
  • Pupil Council Visit UTV

    The Pupil Council go live with UTV!

    The Pupil Council were invited along to tour UTV Live Studios in Belfast on Wednesday 22nd April . The Council were treated to mini tours of the UTV Live newsroom, gallery, dressing room and green room!  The children got to see where our local news is recorded and how it is broadcast.  The Council got to sit on the UTV Live chairs and pretend to report a news story!  There was plenty to see and investigate with huge cameras, hundreds of lights and lots of buttons!  The Pupil Council got to see Frank Mitchell as he was presenting his radio show and they got to meet some UTV Live journalists who were busy writing and editing stories as well as Jane Loughrey and Ken Reid.  At the end each member received a goody bag. Thank-you to all the team at UTV Live for inviting us along, they made us feel so welcome and listened to all our questions! Well done Pupil Council!

  • Hurling Superstars

    Congratulations to our Hurling Team who gave a sterling performance in the recent INTO 7-a-side tournament. This was one of the best performances to date from our young hurlers.

  • Year 6 Easter Prayer Service

    Thank you to all the parents who attended the Year 6 Easter Prayer Service. The children led their drama around the Stations of the Cross so well and gave all who attended a real sense of the meaning behind holy week. Thank you to all the Year 6 staff for their preparation and Mrs Lawlor for her support with music.
