Congratulations to our Year 7 pupils on their Confirmation. It was a beautiful occasion led by Bishop Farquhar. The children were a credit to their Families, School and Parish. Many thanks to everyone who made the day so special for the children.
Many Congratulations to our wonderful Year 7 cheerleaders who came first place in the annual UK Cheerleading competition in the Antrim Forum. They were also nominated the Spirit Award and Miss Agnew was recognised as best coach. A fantastic day for the St. Joseph's girls!
Many thanks to all who supported our Mother's Day Coffee morning. A beautiful high tea event for all thanks to our Friend's of St. Joseph's and Mrs Weldon who was the master chef.
The boys and girls from Mrs Downey's Year 5 class are benefiting from our link with St. Louise's Specialist School with a series of exciting Drama lessons linked to their topic work. Mrs Smyth is leading the lessons and our children are having a wonderful time.
Many thanks to the Fire Safety Team who visited our Year 5 children and gave some very important messages about how to prevent fire related accidents in the home. Our boys and girls answered and asked questions so well and kept the two officers working hard.
Many thanks to all who supported our recent Coffee Morning in the Nursery, a great opportunity to have a lovely cup of tea or coffee and a quick catch up with each other.
Our turning circle was transformed into a Fire fighting training zone as our Nursery boys and girls had a chance to explore the Fire Engine, try on helmets and use the hose to soak trees and our Vice Principal as he walked along the path. The children had a wonderful time. Many thanks to the Firemen who came along and worked so well with our children.
Thank you so much to everyone who made our Green Day so special. There was a sea of green across St. Joseph's in classrooms, the assembly hall and our school yards. Many thanks to our wonderful performers and to the boys and girls from Crumlin Integrated who came to see the concert. Our Irish Dancers, Traditional Musicians and Year 2 children were amazing!
Many thanks to Michael O'Kane from iTeach who delivered a series of coding workshops for our Youth Zone members and Digital Leaders. The children had great fun trying out the new iMat with the SPRK+. Fantastic work from all our boys and girls.
What an amazing concert from our Year 2 children. They sang, danced, performed and had the audience in the palm of their hands. Many thanks to our Irish Dancers who performed so well and gave the audience a flavour of the talented performers in our school. Thank you to the Mums who came to help, Mrs Cunningham and our Year 2 Staff for such a wonderful event to get us in the mood for our St. Patrick's celebrations.
