• Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Visits St Joseph's

  On Monday 28th June the mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey visited St Joseph's to present our Primary 6 pupil Beth with her prize.  Beth was the Overall Winner and awarded First Place in the recent Primary School Business Masterclass Competition.  Congratulation to Beth on such a wonderful achievement and thank you to the mayor for visiting our school and presenting Beth with her award.

• Accelerated Reading Word Millionaire Pizza Party

  Today we celebrated with all those boys and girls who had become Accelerated Reading Word Millionaires - some double and indeed triple Word Millionaires - throughout the school year.  Seated in their class bubbles pupils had an opportunity to enjoy a pizza party and some celebratory cake.  Well done to these girls and boys on a fabulous achievement  and to all those in Primary 5-7 who have made such an amazing effort engaging with the programme this year.  Also thank you to Mrs. Matthews (Literacy Co-ordinator) for all her work in managing this very successful programme in our school. • 'The Irish News' GAA School Coaching Day

  We were delighted to be announced as one of the winning schools in the recent Irish News GAA School Coaching Days Competition. We thoroughly enjoyed our football coaching sessions designed by St. Mary’s University College PE Department. Many thanks to all those who collected tokens!

  Have a look at our Wacky Olympics Sports Days where ever class had a change to complete their traditional and Fun Sports whilst donning some very wacky gear and hairstyles - all in the interests of fundraising for the Friends of St. Joseph's!  Please continue to send any outstanding fundraising money into school.  Thanks to Mr McCullagh for organising!

  

• Year 7 Trip to Belfast Activity Centre

  Our Year 7 boys and girls travelled to Belfast Activity Centre in their class bubbles. Have a look at the various team building skills and outdoor pursuits activities they took part in.  The sun shone on all of the days and a  wonderful time was had by all!
