  • February Virtual Assemblies

    Fri 25 Feb 2022

This week we marked the end of another month in school with our virtual Golden Assemblies.  This month it was the turn of Mr McGrattan's Year 2 class to lead our Year 1-3 Assembly and Mrs Downey's Year 5 pupils to lead our Year 4-7 Assembly.

Mr McGrattan's boys and girls delivered an assembly on the theme of 'Rights Respecting Schools' and the assembly from Mrs Downey's boys and girls enabled us all to focus on how we can best prepare for the season of Lent.  All of the children were wonderful representatives for their class and school.

We also had time to sing Happy Birthday to all of our February boys and girls as well as present our monthly awards and deliver some important messages.  Well done everyone - it's nearly March!

Safer Internet Day is being coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre and takes place on 8th February with the theme 'All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online'

Today our Digital Leaders led a live virtual assembly to reinforce this message.

With 77% of young people having spent more time playing online games and apps during the pandemic, the theme is more relevant and important than ever before.
In school we plan to deliver lessons and activities throughout the week related to Safer Internet Day.

  • Children's Mental Health Week

    Mon 07 Feb 2022

The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week isGrowing Together.

Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. However, emotional growth is often a gradual process that happens over time, and sometimes we might feel a bit ‘stuck’.

As parents and carers, you play an important role in your child’s mental health.Check out free resources for families on the links below:
