  • Year 6 Easter Prayer Service

    Many congratulations to our Year 6 children on their wonderful Easter assembly. They presented 'The Stations of the Cross' to the children in Years 3-7 and to parents. Many thanks to the Year 6 staff who guided and supported the children in what was a very reverent occasion for all who attended.

    Such eggsitement in our Nursery today with the great Easter Bonnet Parade. Congratulations to all who took part, the Easter Bunny was hard to find but the boys and girls managed to find where he had hidden the chocolate eggs!

    We were delighted to hear that our photograph was been selected as one of the winning entries in the Cancer Focus NI ‘Snap The Cig’ competition.

    As well as the prize of an iPad Mr O'Brien's class were invited to a celebration event at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Holywood. The boys and girls got to enjoy a day at the park with their friends. Many thanks

     

  • First Confession

    Many congratulations to our Year 3 children on making their First Confession. The boys and girls were so reverent in the church, sang out and spoke so well. We are very proud of you all!
  • Youth Zone @ Belfast Giants

    Many thanks to Gordy from the Belfast Giants who organised for our Youth Zone members to have a wonderful trip to the SSE Arena to catch the amazing atmosphere at a Belfast Giants game. The boys and girls from Year 4-7 who go to Youth Zone were treated to great seats, wonderful hospitality and a win from the Giants who beat the Nottingham Panthers. Thank you to Mr O'Brien and the Youth Zone leaders for organising the trip and taking time out on a Sunday to bring our children to such a great event.
  • STEM Challenge in St. Brigid's Ballymena

    Well done to our Year 7 STEM team from Ms O'Brien's class who attended the STEM bridge building challenge in St. Brigid's Primary School in Ballymena. The boys and girls worked so well together and created a strong bridge to support the weight given. Thanks to Mr Duffy who brought our Year 7 children to the event.
  • St. Patrick's Day

    Many congratulations to our wonderful Year 2 children on their St. Patrick's Day Concert. They were just amazing, wonderful dancing, singing, acting, story telling and a few jokes thrown in as well! Thank you to the Year 2 team for the great concert and for their interpretation of River dance! Many thanks to Mrs Weldon for the beautiful St. Patrick's Day shortbread for our parents who attended the show. 

    Our Irish Dancers were just brilliant, they get better and better each year. Many thanks to Mrs Cunningham for bring the group together and for all the lunchtime rehearsals.

    Well done to our Traditional group, fabulous as always and thanks to Mrs McDonnell who gives them so much encouragement. 

    We had a beautiful card from our Polish partner school made by Ola who was aged 11 wishing our school community a very Happy St. Patrick's Day.

    Thank you so much to everyone who made our Green Day so special. There was a sea of green across St. Joseph's in classrooms, the assembly hall and our school yards.

  • Eco Team at Stormont

    Our Year 7 Eco team members travelled with Mr Duffy to Stormont to take part in a Science afternoon. Lots of great experiments and even time to stop and pose for a photo on the famous steps!
  • Friends of St. Joseph's Mother's Day Coffee Morning

    Many thanks to all the staff and Friends of St. Joseph who helped to organise our Mother's Day Coffee Morning. Some beautiful treats on offer and great craic had at the tables. 'Just nice to get sitting down for a good chat and a cup of tea handed to you' as one mother so happily put it.
