  • REACH Programme

    Tue 21 Nov 2023

REACH (Resilience Education Assisting Change to Happen) is a dedicated youth work programme which supports pupils, teachers and parents within schools across Northern Ireland to improve the emotional health and wellbeing outcomes for our children and young people.  Over the past number of weeks we have been very fortunate to have had Mark from REACH working with a number of our pupils on both class and small group programmes under the themes of; Wellbeing for All and Early support.  The children and staff involved have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the various programmes and were presenteed with  Wellbeing Programme Certificates for taking part in the Youth Service REACH Programme.

Again many thanks to Mark for the delivery of the programmes and we look forward to continuing to work with the service in the future.

  • INTO Film Workshops

    Thu 09 Nov 2023

The Primary 5 and Primary 6 classes were visited by Naomh from INTO Film where she demonstrated their StoryBuilder resources. StoryBuilder enabled the children to develop their understanding of the basic building blocks of film - the 3Cs and 3Ss of film; colour, character, camera, story, sound and setting before creating imaginative narratives of their own.

Once all the children's work has been completed it will be sent back to INTO Film where it will hopefully receive a prize. Good luck everyone and many thanks to INTO Film for facilitating these wonderful workshops.
